About AIQ (copy-ready description)

AIQ (aiq.ph) is a free web app that teaches AI literacy to children ages 5 to 18. It adapts its lessons, look and difficulty across four age groups, works in English and Filipino, runs in a phone browser, and needs no account to learn. Its motto is "Learn AI. Think Human." Built in Quezon City by developer Alfredo Palconit Jr.

Key facts

• Cost: free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
• Ages: 5 to 18, in four modes: Explorer (5–7), Builder (8–10), Hacker (11–14) and Architect (15–18).
• Curriculum: 36 lessons across 6 worlds, based on the AI4K12 "Five Big Ideas in AI" framework, with a version of every lesson for each age group.
• Languages: English and Filipino.
• Access: a Progressive Web App. It opens in any browser, installs to the home screen, and is built to load quickly on budget Android phones and slow mobile data.
• Accounts: none needed to learn; the whole curriculum runs anonymously on the child's own device. Teachers can optionally create a free class dashboard.
• Children's data: no email, real name, birthdate or photo is collected from children. Students join a class with a code, a nickname and a 4-digit PIN. Details are in the privacy policy.
• Approach: "AI-native, not AI-dependent." Every lesson explains how AI works while reinforcing that kids still need to think, create and solve problems without it.

How it was made

The lesson content was drafted with AI assistance (Claude), under a teaching framework and requirements set by the developer, and the site says so wherever the lessons appear. The Filipino translation was also drafted with AI and has not yet been reviewed by a native speaker; the English version of the privacy policy is the official one. We'd rather you hear that from us.
